Fifth step

I don't think I can bear to add anything else to this poor piece of structured fabric. Remember last week I added the wide red strips. After advice from Dena, the tutor, who suggested I consider toning down the red a little, I stitched 1/4 inch lime green strips. Now I love it - it has real interest and movement. Now, on to constructing the stripes...

I agree - it's done and very cool! Is it very 'heavy' with all of the layers? What does it become now??

It's amazing how the additon of the green strips has changed the whole look of the piece. It looks great.

Your piece is so detailed. Could you see yourself using these techniques to make a whole quilt?

Just quilt it as it is if it is big enough - it looks like a great art quilt. I confess I thought the earlier photos were looking a bit wild but I love it now. I should do this class.

Wow I can't believe how much of a difference those green strips have made. FabulousIt's hard to believe it's the same piece.
Quick ... get it quilted and bound pronto ... it needs to be finished and admired!!!!!!
